Saying "Thank You" is a MUST!

I hope your weekend was great!  My weekend was busy, but also very rewarding.  About a month ago, I signed up for the March of Dimes walk...in case you are not familiar, check out their website. http://www.marchofdimes.com/.  I was nervous about one thing...and that was getting my 5 and 7 year old children to walk 3 miles.  How on earth was this going to happen?  For the last couple weeks, we talked about how they will be helping babies in an effort to get them prepared.  I also brought a wagon along- just in case!  Yesterday was the BIG Day!  It was a 3 mile walk around a beautiful lake in poring rain!  It was absolutely great!  My 7 year old walked the entire 3 miles without a complaint & my 5 year old walked 1.5 miles and rode in the wagon the other half.  I was very impressed.  When we reached the finish line, I took my kids aside & told them how proud I was of them.  They did such a good job!  What a huge accomplishment for those little ones!  You should have seen the looks in their eyes when I said "Thank You"....and not only me, but many other people at the finish line were saying "Thank You" and hugging each other and handing out balloons!  It was a great moment....with hopefully many more of those moments to come!

Saying "Thank You" is one of those things that shouldn't be taken for granted.  Say it clearly and speak from the heart.  If you do this, you can't go wrong & the true meaning will shine through your words...even if they are on paper.

You can find beautiful ways to say "thank you" from our favor selection& don't forget -  all of our invitation ensembles have coordinating thank you cards.  Here's a few ideas to check out if you haven't found a way to say "Thank You" yet!

Can I choose my own verse for my invitation?

Yes!  Absolutely YES!!  This is one of the most popular questions we get on a regular basis.  The invitation wording we are showcasing on the cards is only an example of what you could use.  We have lots of other options for you to choose from.  Or, if you are feeling creative, you are more than welcome to write your own verse.  Your wedding invitation is a very personal reflection of you, and we encourage you to create a message that conveys all of your unique feelings.  Visit VerseThis.com for a wide selection of wedding invitation wording for your celebration.  I hope you find the right verse for you!

Congrats & Good Luck on your Versing!

Save the Date Etiquette! It's important AND it's affordable!

Hi everyone!

Spring is in the air!  It's a beautiful day here!  The sun is shining, the birds are chirping & it's FRIDAY!!!  What could be better?

Last night, I was outside watching the kids riding bikes, jumping on the trampolines in the neighborhood & playing on swing sets!  We have so many activities planned for the summer.  Swimming lessons, baseball, dance, choir, beach trips....the list goes on and on!  I just received a Save-the-Date in the mail for a wedding coming up in July- and let me tell you - it came just in time!  We were discussing taking a trip that particular weekend in July, but decided against it after the mail came with our friend's Save the Date magnet.  She sent it out 4 months in advance of her wedding.

#1 RULE Ladies & Gents- Please send your Save-the-Date card or magnets out as soon as possible.  9 months + is preferred.  If you have out of town guests needing to make travel arrangements, it's even more important to help them start planning early!  Let's face it- you want your loved ones to make it to the event you have been dreaming about for years!  You want to share this day with all the people who matter to you & giving them enough notice is the 1st step to ensure this happens!

Are you asking yourself the question "Do I need to send a Save-the-Date?"  The answer is almost always "yes"!  I say "almost", because there are scenarios I would say it's ok NOT to send one.  An example would be if you get engaged & plan to get married in less than 3 months.  If this happens, you should send your wedding invitations out as soon as possible.

For everyone else out there, you should be sending a Save-the-Date between 6-9 months+ from your wedding date.  If anyone else is like me (and I'm sure there has to be a few!), he/she is enjoying the nice Spring weather & planning for the Summer months ahead.  Help them plan & get excited for your special day.  I'm sure they don't want to miss it!

Wedding Gifts for Parents and Grandparents

Your wedding is your day to celebrate, but it’s also so important to remember and thank your parents and grandparents — the special people who have loved you, supported you, guided you and celebrated with you!

When I got married, I made a pretty scrapbook for my parents and my husband’s parents. I filled the books with photos, mementos and written memories of the wedding. Our parents tell me they still treasure their scrapbooks.

Rexcraft_scrapbooksIf you’d like to do the same, Rexcraft makes it easy and beautiful with convenient scrapbook kits. The patterned papers, stickers and 3D accents will make it fun, too!

If you’re not a scrapbooker, you can still create very touching gifts by giving your parents and grandparents wedding photos in beautiful frames or photo albums to keep the memories of your day fresh.

Mom_necklaceAnd don’t forget to make your mom feel extra-special. Give her an extra mother-daughter gift that will remind her of your love and your appreciation for her, like an engraved jewelry box, a candle or our touching “Letter to Mom” necklace.

When you make sure to show your appreciation beautifully, everyone will have wonderful memories of your wedding!
